Don McCage was inducted into the Top Gun Hall of Fame Class of 2015 in the “Player” category. Red Simmons, 2010 TGHOF member described Don as one of the finest hitters he ever competed with. But more importantly Red shared that Don is a quality human being and one of the finest men you will ever meet. Kevin Evans 2015 TGHOF member added that Don’s contributions on and off the field enabled his Top Gun teams to be at the top of charts in competition and sportsmanship. Dan Haveron, 2015 TGHOF member also shared that Don served many years as the right hand man for Red Simmons, assisting with the communications with Top Gun and SSUSA regarding tournaments and team rosters. Don attributed his success in senior softball to the endless support from his wife and family.
